A plot at the very heart of the Zhodino – a town, world-known for the quarry dump trucks plant BelAZ, was reserved since the soviet times for the development of the deserved town center. A stimulus to unseal it for building up came with the decision of the Minsk region authorities to put here a regional football arena. Along with the mid-density residential district to the north the conception included two office towers, a hotel, shopping arcade and leisure centre united by lacking in the town pedestrian spaces for outdoor social activities. The existent half of the town center to the south of the main street was also enliven with related functions and included into pedestrian network. A boulevard of the residential district acts as a main axis connecting the two churches orthodox and catholic.
